Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, smooth lines, enhance facial contours, and improve overall facial balance. Most modern fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps maintain hydration and fullness in the skin.
-
Dermal fillers like Juvderm, Restylane and RHA, work by adding volume beneath the skin where it has been lost due to aging or genetics. Once injected, the filler attracts and retains moisture, helping to smooth wrinkles, enhance contours, and create a refreshed, natural-looking appearance.
-
Good candidates are those who want to address volume loss, fine lines, wrinkles, or enhance features such as lips, cheeks, chin or jawline. Candidates should be in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and not be pregnant or breastfeeding. Schedule a consultation to determine if dermal fillers are right for you.
-
The longevity of dermal fillers varies depending on the type of filler used, the treatment area, and individual metabolism. Most hyaluronic acid fillers last between 6 to 18 months, with some lasting longer in certain areas.
-
Downtime is minimal. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site is common and typically resolves within a few days.
-

Strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
Excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs, sun exposure) for 24–48 hours
